Summer 2026 Sport Specific Skill Days

Once again, the CP Softball coaches will be hosting softball specific skill days this summer. The dates have changed slightly this year. Our first date will be Wednesday, July 1st. This time is set up by the UIL in order to give high school coaches the opportunity to work with our students’ grades 7-12 during the summer months. 

Dates: July 1 through July 29, 2026, Monday & Wednesday 

Times: Pitchers/Catchers 8:00-9:00 am; All players 9:00-10:00 am 

Place: The Diamonds at College Park

The CP coaching staff will be running various drills for offense, defense, and pitching in an effort to improve individual skills. Many of these drills are the exact drills we use during practices in our off-season workouts and during the regular softball season. Each athlete shall attend no more than 90 minutes per day of sport specific skill instruction with no more than 60 minutes per day in a given sport, Monday through Friday. 

The coaches will continue to constantly monitor to ensure that your child is safe while working on softball skills. 

We encourage all students planning to play softball for CP to attend. However, these workouts are not mandatory to be a part of the CP program. All athletes must a physical on file and be cleared by the trainers in order to participate.
